It’s not as clever as the windows-in-a-browser featured by some other boxes, but it can be navigated just as quickly. The EX2 Ultra’s interface, the same one used on all the My Cloud NAS boxes, is a clean, easy-to-browse, tabbed affair. The fast throughput translated to very smooth 4K UHD (2160p) streaming and fast backups. With two mirrored 4TB WD drives on board, those components powered the box to the one of the best throughput scores we’ve seen, lagging only slightly behind Netgear’s ReadyNAS 212-a product that costs twice as much. The EX2 Ultra features a Marvell Armada 385 CPU and 1GB of memory. The WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra deliverd solid performances on both our read and write benchmarks. But because of the unusual way drives are mounted (with bearing-head screws that fit in slots at the top of the bays), installing 2.5-inch hard drives or SSDs requires both an adapter tray and a SATA data/power extension cable. I would suggest first updating the installed version to the current version. It’s easy to add or swap 3.5-inch drives by popping open the latched top, unscrewing a retaining clip, and sliding the drives in or out. What have I overlooked and have setup incorrectly? Thanks for any help. Note: NAS is not setup as a RAID, only as JBOD My other server (on a Mac & works great) but not the one on the WD NAS. When attempting to Configure the app, PLEX finds Recently purchased Western Digital My Cloud EX2 Ultra NAS and can’t get PLEX to find the NAS. So on the same network, get a browser to the IP address of the WD eg and sign in to and claim the server. There appears to be an unclaimed WD server on your account - you signed out from the server. I am going to move this topic to the Plex Media Server NAS WD forum as it has nothing to do with Plex Cloud apart from your invalid theory My theory is it has to do with Plex as you can no longer add a server for Western Digital, rather Plex wants you to add servers based off of Cloud (One drive, Drop box, etc) There have been no changes to the IP addresses or port forwarding. Any remote connections are intermittent at best. It is no longer a server listed in your Plex Home.Īfter reappearing, the server primarily is only good locally. Western Digital Cloud disappears from Plex. Has anyone else experienced the following problems after the recent updates?
